Narcissus

The Ancient Greeks believed it was unlucky or even fatal to see one's own reflection.

There are many versions of the Greek mythology of NARCISSUS. He was the son of the river god Cephissus and the nymph, Liriope. He was known for his beauty.

Some versions of this mythology have him rejecting both males and females. However, the outcome is the same. He falls in love with his own image reflecting back to him in the water. The outcome is always the same he pines away or takes his own life.

Today, it is important not to be obsessed with oneself, but with what we can offer to be of service to others. So stop and think before you click the camera or open your mouth to do a video. Is your post or tic-tock going to be a contribution to others or just narcissistic behavior to stroke your ego? The term narcissism denotes an excessive degree of self-esteem or self-involvement, a condition that is usually a form of emotional immaturity.
