Rumor has it that pioneering traits like risk-taking, curiosity, and resilience might have genetic components.  These traits are often seen in, adventurers, and explorers who push beyond conventional boundaries.  Such traits might have been advantageous for survival and adaptation in various environments throughout the evolution of humanity.

Pioneers of today are more introspective and are searching for a more direct path to happiness, which is both freeing and overwhelming—freeing because it allows individuals to create a more personal lifestyle that deeply satisfies their desire for adventure and overwhelming because it requires self-motivation, discipline, and resilience in the face of no agreement that may not always support such unconventional lifestyles.

Pioneers of the past and the future share common traits in pursuing happiness through exploration and creating a new life. However, the definition of happiness has shifted. While earlier pioneers might have equated happiness with successful settlement and economic stability, today's pioneers seek happiness in flexibility, freedom, and the alignment of work with personal goals, values, and passions. This shift reflects people finding and following their North Star. Since the pandemic, the world has turned upside down. Individuals are attempting to explore their happy place, breaking the chains of bondage such as social media and the trap of consumerism. Their happiness is getting off the hamster wheel and going where their North Star guides them. They know their value and the difference they make, exploring a new world.
